There's no need to scream when it comes to Hayden Panettiere's new role in Shriek 4. She says, regardless of the rumours, she loves her new role on the fourth instalment of the popular horror franchise.
Despite reports of on-set problems, last-minute cast changes and issues with the script, Panettiere told Access Hollywood she's having a "really good time" on the set and that the crew is having a "blast."
The Heroes actress said: "I don't know whether it's somebody projecting or, who knows where it came from, but ultimately, it was untrue and I love my character. I'm having a really good time doing it. It's a really great cast."
She is in good hands, she insisted. "All the original cast is back. We have Neve Campbell and David Arquette and Courteney Cox. We have a brand-new cast: myself and Emma Roberts."
The praise didn't stop there, with Panettiere, 20, extending her adoration to the director.
"Wes Craven is amazing and such a nice guy. It is such a pleasure to work with him. You can feel the crew is at ease.
They're able to have fun; it's not like twisting their arm to come to work. They really enjoy it, so it's been a blast thus far," Panettiere said. She admitted she isn't in a rush to return to the small screen.
"I'm focusing mainly on film. I like to keep an open mind about everything involving this industry, and there's nothing specifically I want to do."

If you’re looking for production problems, they’re not on the set of “Scream 4.”Since cameras rolled on Wes Craven’s horror sequel in Detroit, Michigan, the internet has been rife with gossip, i.e. Lake Bell dropping out before filming and “Heroes” actress Hayden Panettiere ticked off over the script.
With filming of the fourth chapter in the "Scream" franchise under way in Michigan, fans are hard-pressed to find out new details about the fourth film's notoriously mysterious plotline. However, when MTV News recently caught up with Hayden Panettiere, she said she's confident the filmmakers are doing the previous movies justice and that the process so far has been a blast.

Save the whales, save the world? Former Heroes star Hayden Panettiere seems to think so. The 20 year-old's advocacy on behalf of the hunted whales of the world — particularly in Japan — surprised many who pegged her as merely a pretty young starlet. But in October 2007 she joined the fierce anti-whaling advocates of Sea Shepherd in their attempts to disrupt the annual whale hunt in the Japanese village of Taiji. The activists were quickly dispelled and kicked out of Japan, but the protest became part of the Oscar-winning documentary The Cove.
