GORGEOUS Heroes star Hayden Panettiere will steam up our screens with a girl-on-girl smooch in new season of the hit US show. And the 20-year-old actress admitted she loved shooting the scenes. Her character, cheerleader Claire Bennett, goes to college and meets new room-mate Gretchen - Madeline Zima of Californication fame - who swiftly develops a major crush on the cute blonde.
Hayden said: "Claire has a room-mate who is the biggest relationship in this season because she has finally got what she had with Zach, her friend in the first season, which was a confidante and somebody who she can tell her secrets to."She hasn't had anyone like that since then.
"Then this new character Gretchen comes along, and she becomes that person for me."It's a very interesting relationship because there's a little bit of a flirting with, 'Are we friends? Are we more? Do I have feelings for you in that way?' "That's the relationship so far and where exactly it's going, I have no idea.

Hayden Panettiere: It’s a little tough because even though we are playing the same characters, you really do have the whole writing staff taking us in whichever direction they want to. And on this kind of show, there’s infinite amount of possibilities of where you could go, whether you stay good, whether you turn bad, who you’re working with.
While the actors of popular television series like "Heroes" are normally tight lipped about upcoming storylines, actor Masi Oka, who plays Hiro Nakamura on the NBC series, talked freely about the return of a certain fan favorite during a press call earlier today with fellow cast member Hayden Panettiere (Claire). "Jayma Mays is just absolutely fantastic," Oka said of the return of Charlie, who had an ill-fated romance with Hiro during the first season of the series. "We just literally finished yesterday shooting that episode and it just brought back memories and the cast was fantastic working with her. Lots of laughter, lots of crying, heartbreaking... everything that I loved about that storyline all jumbled into one. Episode eight [of the new season] is a really heavy Hiro-Charlie storyline but it was an absolute pleasure and an honor to be working with Jayma Mays again."
