Showing off her fluffed-up coif, Hayden Panettiere was spotted out and about in Los Angeles. The former “Heroes” hottie was all smiles as she encountered the paparazzi, sporting a beige top with black trousers and sunglasses.

In career news, it seems Hayden isn’t too broken up that her NBC gig was canceled, as she already has a new movie role. Ms. Panettiere will be starring alongside Emma Roberts, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox in the upcoming horror flick “Scream 4.”

Movie bosses are apparently desperate to bring the 1970s cartoon hero to the big screen and Hayden is the top choice for leading lady. “The idea is to have Captain Caveman animated in an otherwise live action cast,” reveals a movie insider. “It’s going to be a huge franchise.

Pizza and pasta are best!’ and I’m always fighting to turn it off.”

Tending to her stylish new hairdo, Hayden Panettiere paid a pre-weekend visit to Warren Tricomi salon in West Hollywood on Friday. The "Heroes" hottie flaunted her short locks as she strolled out of the beauty parlor sporting a black "Omg" t-shirt with dark jeans and a pair of shades.

After ditching her signature blonde locks for a deep red color weeks prior, the 20-year-old actress has gone blonde once again but presented another dramatic change as she chopped her long hair extra short, debuting a boyish look.

Hitting the green carpet in the arm of her boxer boyfriend Vladimir Klitschko, she was seen setting her short hair slicked back with sideburns pulled down in front of her ears.

Before cutting it short, Hayden dyed her hair red back in January. On the reason why, she explained to Us Magazine at the time, "I was tired of being a blonde. You get stuck in one thing and known for one thing... It's fun to change things up, and I feel I don't have to overcompensate as much personality-wise when I have red hair as I do with blonde hair."

In a vast change to her usual long locks, Panettiere sported a cropped hairdo, slicked back with a quiff and sideburns.

And she'd dyed her hair a dark blonde colour, just a couple of weeks after she returned to her original blonde colouring following a foray into dark auburn that lasted several months.

Hayden's blonde locks helped make her a typical all-American girl pin-up, however, the new hairstyle marks quite a departure in her appearance.
