Hayden Panettiere chose to attempt a late look: cActress Hayden Panettiere experienced a recent hair drama when she decided to try a new look. The star opted for a new red-head 'do' in a bid to shake off her blonde cheerleader character from cult TV show Heroes - and the hasty 'hair-don't' almost left her bald.

Panettiere says, "I chopped it all off and my hair started falling out because I dyed it red and then tried to dye it back blonde. "I like drastic changes... It has taken a lot of nursing back."And she admits she met boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko's family for the first time during her hair crisis. She tells U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "I was like, 'Look, I really don't look like this all the time, I swear... Just don't judge me.'"

But Hayden Panettiere insists that in Scream 4, no one is safe. She sat down with Metro to tell us what little she could about the movie — and share some real-life horror stories of her own.

So what are you allowed to say about the plot of Scream 4?
Sidney Prescott comes back to her hometown, and it’s the anniversary. Then weird things start happening, and pranks start being made and [whispering] they come back. And then a lot of people die. But it’s like a giant game of Clue at the same time. Who’s the killer? Who’s going to die next? It plays off of these rules to the new way of making a horror film. Virgins can die now.

Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin kissing Scene in New 'Scream 4': "Scream 4" has released four new photos. In one still, Rory Culkin's Charlie Walker is snapped leaning in as if to share a kiss with Hayden Panettiere's Kirby Reed. Another picture sees Trevor Sheldon (Nico Tortorella) sitting next to bloody Jill Roberts (Emma Roberts) in the hospital. Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox are also snapped in other photos.

The slasher film follows Sidney Prescott who goes back home to Woodsboro after she has been living her last few years in silence as the author of a self-help book. In her hometown, Prescott encounters Ghostface killer, putting her, Gale, and Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) in danger.

Hayden Panettiere remembers robbery hellfire: Hayden Panettiere has revealed how she cowered in her bathroom with a Taser gun when burglars broke into her home. The Heroes star told E! Online how she was home alone when her burglar alarm went off. She quickly made a dash for the safety of the bathroom. 'It was the scariest moment of my life. The alarm was going off and off and off, but no one was coming,' she said.

'As soon as I knew what was happening, I grabbed my Taser (stun gun) and my cellphone and locked myself in the bathroom. I called a friend that lived close and I called my dad.'The 21-year-old actress eventually plucked up the courage to climb out of the bathroom window. She explained, 'I was sitting and shaking by the toilet, but then was like, 'Screw this! I'm not waiting for somebody to come barging in' so I crawled out the window.
